Erin loses two of the most important people in her life in a car accident. She turns off all emotions and does what she has to to get by. Years later, she's living in Italy as a fashion designer, still bottling up her emotions, when she meets Alex. Alex brings the old Erin back into the picture and teaches her to trust again. Of course, Alex knows more about Erin than he lets on but that seems to be the norm in a lot of these new adult books. On the whole, I enjoyed the story of Alex and Erin, especially because Erin was a rather strong female lead (imo) which is so not the norm in the new adult genre. I'd give KaSonndra Leigh another read.
